Our exchange rings your phone first, and then connects you with the number you wish to call - you can even use the browser on your mobile phone to initiate the call. DID - Direct in Dial numbers.

DID's (Direct in Dial) numbers give your VoIP phone an actual telephone number out there in the normal telephone system. ROAM can supply DID's from almost anywhere in Australia, and 30 countries around the World.

If you rent a ROAM DID, whether its in Australia or overseas, ROAM will divert all calls from that number to your VoIP service (ROAM or anyone else), or your business, home or mobile phone.

This service works well for both Commercial and Personal reasons . . when you get a DID phone number in the region you have requested, then potential customers, family and friends can contact you for the cost of a local call to them.

If you are a ROAM VoIP customer, then we divert all calls received on your nominated DID for free.

You do NOT need a broadband connection to receive phone calls from an overseas number diverted to your phone.

Currently, ROAM VoIP's DID service is only available to commercial and personal customers who permanently or mostly live and/or trade in the Whitsundays. You do not have to be a ROAM broadband customer, and you don't need a VoIP phone to receive these services.
